Rethinking the psychology of tyranny podcast

Following on from the excellent OCR conferences in Leeds and London where we were given the opportunity to see Griffiths and Reicher & Haslam OCR have made available ‘podcasts’ of the talks so that everyone can hear what they have to here.

Here’s the second one which is Reicher and Haslam discussing their Prison Experiment.

There’s more about Reicher & Haslam and the New 2008 Specification over at PsychBLOG but here’s the podcast for your listening pleasure.

Two podcasts are available one with Reicher speaking the other with Haslam:

Dr Mark Griffiths. The gambling man?

Dr Mark Griffiths spoke to me about gambling, the 1994 BJP study which is going to be in the 2008 specs, and his research in general. You can find the write up of the interview on PsychBlog.

This interview was conducted in May 2007 when I had the opportunity to chat with Mark Griffiths. There’s an article to go with this interview but there’s still plenty of extra talk here. Especially with Mark putting the 1994 study into the context of other research that was going on at the time; why people become addicted and what is an addictive personality.

Branching out…

If you’ve found this page - not too sure how, but still - there’s not a lot here at the moment.  This is/will/maybe be the new part of the site with podcasts (recordings) of the interviews that I have done with psychologists.

As soon as there is any progress here there will be a big announcement on PsychBLOG.
